We build strong, safe deck

As with your home, your deck should be built using a “continuous load path”. This is an engineering concept that assures loads are completely transferred from the point of application to the foundation via structural components and connections.

To achieve safe and strong decks, for framing we use Madison Pressure Treated Lumber and Simpson Strong-Tie connectors together with designs that meet most recent building codes and resists certain loads.

Footings are a very important part of a deck. We use two types of footings:

Poured concrete footings

Installed and designed correctly concrete footings are very strong and provide plenty of support for the deck.

Helical Piers

Helical piers are very strong and can be used to support any size or weight of deck. They are the least work-intensive method, but also the most expensive.

Decking - A matter of choice

Whether you are building on a budget or seeing your boldest idea through, we can offer different ways to achieve that.

Decking floors can be installed with:

Pressure treated lumber

For fewer nuts and imperfections, we use premium #1 5/4x6 pr.tr.

Hardwoods

This option includes Ipe and teak

Composites

Composites will last two or three times longer than wood, require no staining, are splinter free, mold resistant and stain resistant. We install decking brands such as: Trex, Fiberon, Timbertech, Wolf Decking.

PVC Decking

Deck boards that contain no organic material in the core or cap, such as Timber Tech AZEK or ZURI

Railings

When planning what type of railing to install on a deck, it's important to consider the view, both from the deck and from inside the house. To make the right choose we have a couple options:

  • Composite railing
  • Vinyl Railing
  • Aluminum Railing
  • Cable Railing
  • Glass Panel Railing
  • Rod Railing
  • Privacy Panels

Deck Fascia and Skirts Types

When it comes to finishing the sides of your deck, you can opt for fascia and skirt.

Fascia can be installed around the perimeter of the deck in a clean and simple way or can be customized in a double tier fascia.

Deck skirting is an attractive feature to finish your deck. This are some of the options for a skirt:

  • Board on board, using the same material as the decking floor. Boards can be installed vertical or horizontal;
  • Soffit skirting is most economical way to go;
  • Trimed lattice skirt, that adds beauty and privacy to any deck without blocking airflow.

Deck Lighting

For impressive deck side ambiance and safer nighttime strolls, we can add exterior low voltage light fixtures.

Trex or other brands lighting profiles, includes:

  • Post Cap Lights.
  • Deck Rail Light or Wedge Deck Rail Light - lights that are mounted on the side of the posts.
  • Stair Riser Lights
  • Recessed Deck Light
